The Editing Continues

Tristan remains hard at work editing False Positive for publication later this year. With Ashley Oosthuizen still languishing inside of a Thai prison, the stakes can not be higher. As such, the author is leaving no stone unturned in preparation of its release in October, 2026. The King will also be undergoing the same rigorous editing process in the months ahead. Stay tuned!

The author Tristan Nettles has just received word that both of his upcoming novels, False Positive and The King, will be published in Fall, 2026. The King - A Bronze Age Tale will be published on September 22nd, 2026 and False Positive, the epic true story about Tristan Nettles and Ashley Oosthuizen, will be published on October 20th, 2026. Merry Christmas from the author Tristan Nettles. Unfortunately, Santa was not able to return Ashley Oosthuizen this year. The author remains undettered, however, working tiressly to ensure the conditions for her release, and for a happy, healthy, and comfortable life of freedom afterwards. Technical Update

Due to a bug in an old version of Node JS, which opened up a security flaw in Next JS, which Tristan Nettles author site was built with, the last updates were never applied to the site. This applies to The Shepherd Novel website as well. The outdated packages have since been updated on both sites, allowing for this and future updates to be deployed as normal. We apologize for any inconvienence that this outage may have caused. Rest assured, however, that Tristan remains hard at work crafting modern masterpieces for the ages!

In preparation of Tristan Nettles modern epic, False Positive, the author is doing two more final edits to ensure the best reader experience possible. Tristan has come a long way since first writing The Shepherd - A Bronze Age Tale, for Ashley Oosthuizen. That makes it critical that False Positive benefit from all of the extra spit and polish acquired over the years since the original manuscript was finished. The published work, coming in Fall 2026, is sure to be considered a modern day classic. Stay tuned!

The meta data for both of Tristan Nettles upcoming novels, False Positive and The King - A Bronze Age Tale, has been completed and sent back to Histria Books and Simon & Schuster to begin preparing the covers and marketing for each work prior to publication!
